The Peace I Forgot

Sometimes, life puts us on pause not because we’ve failed, but because we need space to breathe. Sitting here, surrounded by endless fields and quiet wind, I realize that maybe this silence isn’t empty. It’s just life giving me a moment to reset, to think, and to remember who I am outside of the rush.

I used to feel uneasy about slowing down. I thought I always had to keep moving, keep achieving, keep proving something. But here, with nothing but the sound of the breeze and the rustle of rice stalks, I start to see it differently. Maybe this season of stillness isn’t a setback, maybe it’s "preparation".

Because growth doesn’t always happen while we’re running. Sometimes it happens in the quiet, in the space between jobs, between plans, between what ended and what’s yet to begin. And that’s okay. This, too, is part of becoming.

So for now, I’ll just breathe. Between the chaos, between the uncertainty. Trusting that when the time is right, I’ll know where to go next.
